Chief Needahbeh

This fly is a classic streamer pattern with a unique bit of history surrounding it. The pattern was designed in Maine for Chief Needahbeh, a member of the Penobscot Indian tribe and the owner of Needahbeh's Shack, a tackle shop at Moosehead Lake in Greenville, Maine. He also went by the name Roland Nelson. All I know it that it works! It was also a very popular spey fishing fly, see the second picture.

Cette mouche est un modèle de streamer classique avec un peu d'histoire autour d'elle. Ce modèle a été conçu dans le Maine pour le chef Needahbeh, membre de la tribu indienne des Penobscot et propriétaire du Needahbeh's Shack, un magasin d'articles de pêche au lac Moosehead à Greenville, dans le Maine. Il se faisait également appeler Roland Nelson. Tout ce que je sais, c'est que ça marche ! C'était aussi une mouche très populaire pour la pêche au harpon, voir la deuxième photo.
